15. April 2009: Effelsberg Radio Observatory, 100 m Telescope

During my Easter-holydays in the Eifel, I had a short visit at the 100 m
Telescope of the Effelsberg Radio Observatory.
It is one of the two largest movable radio telescopes in the world. The
antenna has a diameter of 100 m.
The attached images can give only a small impression of the dimensions of
the monstrous device.
