The Solar Eclipse 1999 From France
Robert van der Zaal
Robert van der Zaal was the first who provided eclipse picures from France.
As so many observers in Western Europe, Robert was not very lucky with the weather conditions.
He observed the eclipse in the French Ardennes, ca. 15 km north of Rethel
(between Charleville/Meziers and Reims) and obtained these pictures of the total phase:

Robert shot the pictures with 50 mm (overview) and 400 mm focal length at f/8, automatic
exposure time setting, on Kodak GPX160 negative film.
